Tuesday, July 22, 2008The UOL Freshmen Orientation Camp ended sometime last week.. and how was it ??One word to sum it all.. Over-hype... The FOC was one of the worse camp i've ever been to not that i'm an outdoor activitist but this was simply bad... The amount we paid for--- a whooping $38 was not justifiable at all.. Fancy this... 10 guys squeezing into a chalet that is only big enough for 4 person.. and all 10 of us have to share the bathroom ... Even in the SAF all of us get to have our own beds~! U might think that this is bad.. but that's not the worst... The "out-ration" was simply horrendous... 2 days in a row we had nasi lemak.. and it tasted stale, dry and sick~! Part of our dinner were leftovers from our breakfast and on the "SP" night... we had to endure a chicken as thick as a well-done steak~! Argh.. what made it worse was.. sigh... my Orientation Group.. Maybe its because of the competitive nature in me that wants so much to win the champion OG... I was simply too disappointed with my OG.. i tried hard and gave my all for every game and every event. I racked my brains ran more than anybody else and shouted harder and louder than each member.. but what i got was a mere "ignorance"... Perhaps being too outstanding isn't likeable.. YEs i must agree not anyone can allow themselves to be led and not lead.. but right from the very first day i was very clear with what my objectives are.. i pushed them i cheered them i led them ... however my efforts were not given any recognition.. everyone was happy with everyone in the group.. they had tons to talk.. but when it comes to me.. silence... When the champion OG was being selected.. every group shouted their OG.. when my members shouted out "OG 10" i was thinking "God is fair.. the amount of effor that every members put in will determined which position we are in..." Tonight is the FOC BASH... this is the event that i would love to participate ... yet i gave it up... The FOC will always be a memory for me... not in a good way though.. Thanks to my BBFLs that i manage to came out of this... Louis froze in time on 7:36 PM
