Saturday, February 28, 20092 papers down in the space of 2 days...As the saying goes "you reap what you sow" .. I've put in tremendous effort for econs and I guess I did okie.. though half the time I don't know what the paper was about.. nonetheless I think passing this module shouldn't be a problem come may... Stats wasn't that ideal though.. Somehow because of the lack of time.. I screwed up my formulas.. really pissed with myself and also my calculator! Fancy on the verge of getting an answer and your calculator shows you "ERROR" . I was damn stunned! It was as if someone casted a spell on me! 3 papers more to go.. the first two papers were okie because I was sufficiently prepared.. the last 3.. I can only say God bless! Friday, February 20, 2009I'm seriously considering whether to privatized my blog ...Nowadays.. I'm having a huge dilemma whether to blog my feelings down or just simply blog for the sake of blogging.. If i were to blog like "i'm missing you" .. somebody out there is bound to get aggitated, excited, grumpy, sad.. It's like I'm being influence by an external factor that limits my scope of writing! I love my tag box.. though it remains largely inactive nowadays but it's a place where I can converse to friends around.. it's like a mini MSN..! It is, however, a double edge spear. People hide behind a nick and starts spourting nonsense... that truly amaze me~! I love this space of mine.. it has all my sweat and tears.. all my fond memories.. but it's becoming more and more mundane as my entries are now no longer genuine.. it's becoming like a "show" where i just have to "staged a play" ... It's PLASTIC! I'm not someone that can converse very well.. not someone who loves expressing my thoughts verbally but I love writing.. I love to tag down my feelings.. but because ... oh well .. I can no longer show my feelings.. ! Sigh.. Sadly... It's akin to ... an actor without a play... a boy that lost his toy... a runner without his spikes... a dog that won't bark... Tuesday, February 17, 2009I'm happy with my progress so far!IBM---> 40% Econs---> 50% Maths---> 70% Stats---> 40% Soci---> 20% I finally finding the joy in studying again! Woooo.. the momentum is back.. with not much of a distraction.. i can fully concentrate on my revision! My prelims are less than 2 weeks away and I'm hopeful that i should be able to complete at least half of my revision by then.. Saturday, February 14, 2009It's Valentine's day yet again...An unofficial festive that everyone would love to celebrate.. friends, couples, families.. To me it's just but an occasion where entrepreneurs mark up their prices for almost everything! Flowers, gift wrappers, chocolates, hotels, meals etc... However, foolishly enough people still spend! Not because they "want" to but rather they "have" to! Having read so far.. you would have come to a conclusion that Louis is not romantic at all! Truth is I certainly am not! Or rather I choose not to.. Selectively there are times where I feel it requires much much more effort and attention.. for instance.. your love ones' birthdays, christmas, anniversaries... How much does a bouquet of flowers cost you on V's day as compared to any other days? Why give flowers only on V's day and not any other day? Why dine out and squeeze with the rest of the world when you can just have a simple meal at home? So many whys and yet the only answer anyone could give is.. "It's Valentine's Day" It may sound cliche but its true that "ANY OTHER DAY CAN BE VALENTINE'S DAY!" I'm sounding sour but seeing so many of my pals and mates being consume by this over rated occasion just make me wanna stand up and clap for the people who have commercialized this occasion. They certainly has done a great job! Not that I'm not willing to go out on Feb 14.. rather.. I just felt is it a must? Can't I have candlelit dinner on Feb 15,16 or 17? Can't I buy a gift on Feb 11,12 or 13? Can't I buy flowers on Jan 31? Okie I know.. it will lose all it's significant if I don't do it on Feb 14.. but all this are very subjective! YOu might be thinking why then do we celebrate Chinese NEw Year on Jan 26 and not some other dates.. That's because it's an OFFICIAL FESTIVE for chinese all around the world! WE DON'T HAVE A CHOICE! It's definately not an occasion where I will be paying special attention to.. I'm sorry but honestly I just feel .. everyday is V day if you;re with the one you love. Period. Tuesday, February 10, 2009The full moon spells the end of a festive...Sound of mahjong tiles, shouts of "ban luck" and the tattering of coins has faded as the clock ticks.. It's been an astonishing 15 days... One of the busiest period perhaps.. Looking back... I enjoyed every single moment of it.. From the reunion dinner, to playing cards at my buddies' .. As I grow older... new year just have a different meaning totally.. It used to be a period where I can collect really lots of red packets.. Right now.. it's a period of gatherings... seeing my cousins growing up by the years.. catching up with my buddies who's been away for the whole year .. Even though new year has lots its significant over the years.. it has well undertaken a whole new identity.. Tuesday, February 3, 2009Celebrated my 24th birthday on Friday and Saturday..On the 30th.. Kylie and I had a joint birthday celebration with our beloved ODAC-IANS.. Thanks to our birthday planner (Boon and Pam) we had a wonderful dinner at Sakae Marina Square... It didn't actually look like a birthday dinner .. rather a reunion dinner for us as there were a lot of seniors who turn up! Camwhoring was the objective that evening... everyone just took out their cameras and snap away! We had at least 10 cameras on the act all the time! I never expected any presents honestly.. When Wanting presented me my present I was really lost for words.. on top of that.. Pam got me a sleeping bag.. Adeline and Jiae got me a shawl (which i really love it!) and Sebas and co got me a "CAN" of shirt.. haha.. Birthday isn't complete without a cake .. and of course they got me a cake as well.. and I'm utterly speechless.. :) We went over to Liquid Gold (a pub along selegie road) to drink the night away.. As usual.. getting me drunk wasn't such a difficult task afterall as I puke all over myself and KO after the clock strikes 12..  On Sat morning.. I went over to Ms Chian's place to collect ANG BAOs! My SC6 had a mini birthday celebration for me.. year after year they will never fail to make an effort to celebrate my birthday.. and I'm really touched because here it is.. a group of friends who never left me all this while even when my chips were down! They got me a pull and bear jacket which really suits my style! I was still telling Angela that they are one of the few girls who knew what to get for me .. Thank you SC6 + Channnnn tellll... :) And of course.. my own brothers.. we went to have crab dinner at AMK.. and boy were the crabs big! My camera wasn't available at that point of time.. hence no photos.. :( Even though its only 7 of us (Kae joined us after the dinner) .. I still felt very blessed to have them around me.. we knew each other since pri school and up till today we still kept in contact... They got me a FP shirt bet its damn costly! But yeah this guys are super generous when it comes to presents.. We went to Double O after dinner and as usual.. it didnt take too long to knock me out..
